Simply Irritated

I’m so sick and tired of Clinton supporters (and I use that term loosely) telling the rest of us that we need to kiss their collective asses to get them to vote for Obama in November. Honestly, I seriously doubt that a whole lot of them are actually Progressive.

Here’s a talking point that really irritates me:

“We are 18 million strong.”

No. You’re not.

First of all, Clinton didn’t garner 18 million votes. And a good number of the votes she did get were from Republicans crossing the aisle hoping that Clinton would get the nod so that McCain could easily beat her. Hello! Then there are the real Clinton supporters that ultimately agreed that McCain sucks worse than Obama and have decided to vote for Obama. There goes your “18 million” crock of shit.

Then there’s the “selected not elected” bullshit that Ann Coulter started with (and who the hell is a real Progressive and pays attention to anything that piece of gutter trash spouts?). Here’s a clue to those just realizing that the United States holds election and primaries- they are always decided by a “representative” of the people. That means that if enough people vote for one candidate then someone else can either cast a vote for that same person if they want- but they aren’t required to. Why do you think Clinton was trying so hard to get the supers on her side.
We don’t “elect” the President, you bone-headed idiots. We “elect” the people who really do the voting. During the primaries it’s the delegates and superdelegates (by the way, the flippin’ Republicans don’t use this system) and during the election it’s the electoral college.

See? You should have stayed awake that day in Government class. You might have saved yourself a damned ulcer.
